Drawing is a learned skill that anyone can achieve with training and practice. Learning to draw and paint can be the gateway to self-expression and a visual appreciation of the world at large. The course will cover basic drawing techniques such as proportional measurement, perspective and shading, and then work into color, composition and painting theory. Since drawing and painting skills are reviewed, this course is ideal for both the beginner and for those who want to refine their technique. Students will be exposed to a variety of media including graphite, charcoal, conté, as well as acrylic.
