This course offers realistic figure sculpture in clay from live models. In this 6-week course, we will be working with 3 different models (2 model for a 3 hours pose, and 1 model for a 6 hours pose). The last 2 week will be refining the sculptures,  hollowing, and burnishing the sculptures.  

Throughout this course, you will learn the techniques applied to working with clay sculpture and learn how to look at the volume, proportions, and rhythms in the poses using a practical approach and anatomical references. You will also refine your interpretation of the model’s emotions and aura, while enhancing your creativity and sensitivity. This course is suitable for sculptors, professional animators, students for their portfolio work, and artists practicing with realism.

$190 + $80 model fee, $ 20 of clay and firing*

* Extra costs
1. $18 to $20  for 10kg of various clay
2. *Around $30 for firing each sculpture (The price depends on the size of the sculpture)

Modelage d’après modèle

Hiver 2013 : du Mercredi 6 février au 13 Mars

Ce cours vous invite à modeler le ou la modèle de façon réaliste. Durant les 4 premières semaines nous auront 3 différentes modèles qui poserons 1 x 3hrs et 1 x 6hrs. Les deux dernières semaines nous viderons et finirons les sculptures.

Durant ce cours nous apprendrons les techniques du modelage, observerons les volumes et ses proportions de la pose de la modèle pour une synergie qui vous satisfait votre sensibilité. Ce cours est recommendé aux sculpteurs, professionnel de l’animation, étudiants désirant garnir leur porte-folio ou artiste réaliste.
