“I don’t believe people are loDiane profile pic for classoking for the meaning of life so much as they are looking for the experience of being alive”  Joseph Campbell

In this six-session series of classes, the intention is that each person leaves each class feeling loose, listened to, and alive. The dominant theme is one of honing our mind-body connection and so fine-tuning our capacity to respond in our lives. The work we’ll do is sourced in training for actors that develops sensitivity and awareness, intuition and spontaneity.  We also get the blood flowing, the breath happening and just move.

Participants can bring their own mats if they wish, though mats are available at the studio. Just wear loose comfortable clothing.

No previous experience necessary for participants.

Diane Cartwright started in classical ballet at the School of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, moved into modern dance in Toronto and trained and worked professionally as an actor and modern dancer and mime. She also wrote and produced plays in Toronto and founded and directed a street theatre that did pieces for Tibet  and Burma. Most recently, she put more than a decade into establishing a successful small organic tea and spices company with her husband. This series of classes is a return to teaching movement, integrating highlights from her life’s work.
