Are you an artist painting in acrylic paints, but mystified by acrylic mediums? Do you use acrylic mediums as workhorses, rather than experimenting and playing with the infinite and awesome possibilities they could bring to your artistic practices? In this acrylic workshops, you will learn how to unfold the mysteries and explore the limitless uses and creative technical applications of acrylic mediums with acrylic paints and mixed media in, both, your abstract or representational acrylic artworks.
Cost: $130 for the two days
To reserve your seat in this innovative workshop series a 50% deposit is required, with the balance to be paid at the workshop. Alternately, all the cost for workshop may be paid in advance.
*Materials:
- $10 materials fee for prepared substrates, of canvas, heavy acrylic paper
- (185lb) and 10” x 10” gesso’d masonite
- a variety of your own favourite acrylic brushes, palette knives and other
- painting tools (I will provide some)
- your favourite dry media tools, such as, oil or soft pastels, charcoal, graphite sticks, watercolour pencils, pencil crayons, Conte, etc. (I will provide some)
- Tri-Art Non Stick Palette or similar flat plastic palette
- notebook & pencil for notes and sketches
- photographs that inspire to use as reference
- pizza boxes (to carry home wet art work-optional)
