Fee: $175 for 5 weeks (portraiture taught by Irene Rencsi)
Winter session 2: February 20 to April 17, 2018 (no class on March 13)
Fee: $295 for 8 weeks

Classes are designed to offer a learning experience in painting in a systematic and structured format. Step-by-step demonstrations trace the painting process from sketch, to underpainting in washes, through constructing a finished painting by building up layers of impasto. Demonstrations show how to plan a painting, block in the composition, observe light, atmosphere, the colour of objects and colour of shadows. By mastering the technical aspects of the medium you will gain confidence and skill in painting a picture for which you will be proud of. Learning outcomes:
- Improvement in mastering the painting techniques
- Paint a picture from start to finish
- Gaining confidence in designing the picture and developing individual style.
- Working out solutions related to painting in a professional manner.
Landscape- Cityscape- Learn to plan a painting by applying one and two point perspective, capture the city life and traffic. Block in the composition and observe atmosphere and the colors that make up the shapes and forms of objects in the light and shadows. Step-by-step demonstrations trace the painting process, from sketching and underpainting in washes to finishing.
