This is a course for beginners and experienced painters; offering structured guidance for beginners and more advanced support for accomplished painters in watercolour.

Whether working with the basic colours or a full palette, artists will be encouraged to find or finesse their unique way of expressing themselves in this versatile medium. This is a course made up of demonstrations and individual guidance and feedback.

Individual feedback will be provided several times during the day over the course of the class, one area of focus will be the need to keep things fresh and dramatic during the process of creating a watercolour painting.

Basic drawing techniques, brushwork, perspective, composition, colour, texture, use of material will be explored. If you need guidance on your work in between classes Andrew will follow up by email or phone with artists.

Instructor: Andrew Cheddie Sookrah is a Toronto based multi-discipline, multi-media artist with a second life in advertising and design. He is an active member of the Ontario Society of Artists, Society of Canadian Artists, Portrait Society of Canada, Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, and is a Registered Canadian Designer and Registered Graphic Designer (Ontario).
