Pottery wheel classes for all Levels

Dianne offers a step-by-step guide for beginners in the wheel techniques, pottery techniques and various glazing options.
Space limited to 6 Adults.
Monday and Wednesday evening winter session: January 21 to March 11 (including Family Day on Monday Feb.16)
Cost: $320 for 8-week sessions or $ 45 for drop-in + 13% taxes
Saturday afternoon winter session: January 31 to March 14
Cost: $280 for 7-week sessions or $ 45 for drop-in + 13% taxes
Early Spring sessions: March 23/25/28 to May 4/6/9
Mon. Cost: $240 for 6-week sessions (no class on Easter weekend)
Wed. Cost: $280 for 7-week sessions
Late Spring sessions: May 11/13/16 to June 22/24/20
Mon. Cost: $240 for 6-week sessions (no class on Victoria day May 18)
Wed. Cost: $280 for 7-week sessions
Our price includes clay, double firing and glazing, not Hst
Note: Just Introductory session on the wheel: $75 per 3 hours (all inclusive) demonstration, clay and firing. The hourly rate for the wheel with instruction is at $20.
Glazing workshops: the 3rd Saturday of the month from 2 to 5 pm (pre-registration necessary)
Cost for glazing: $25 per person (all inclusive) demonstration, firing and glazing -$3 per small cup or bowl or according to the size-

Instructor Dianne Lee is a Canadian ceramic artist and instructor based in Toronto’s historic Corktown neighborhood. Dianne studied ceramics at the Ontario College of Art and Design from 2002-2006. Since graduating Dianne lived and work in England for 3 years, during that time she interned with British Pottery Deborah Baynes, visited multiple pottery studios and traveled all over Europe. Dianne also found herself in New Zealand for a year where she was a member of the Wellington Potter’s Association. Dianne is now a full time studio artist who makes functional work, collaborates with other artists and independently developed her own conceptual art projects. Her pottery embodies elements of playful exploration, functionality and surprise. All her work is wheel-thrown and assembled or altered during the throwing process. Dianne continuously explores a range of ideas from contemporary issues to traditional pottery with an emphasis on process and context.
