Bio: Andrea discovered her passion for clay in the charming and beautiful city of St. John’s, Newfoundland. She has studied with many different renowned potters and artists over the last 12 years, and has taught pottery to both adults and children for the last 6 years.
Andrea thinks of herself as a life-long student: “I am always experimenting with new forms, new techniques, tools and surface design. When I see something new in ceramics, I think, ‘what can I do with that?’ and I love to share that sense of joy and wonder in discovering something new, in learning something new, with my students”.
Her travels to pottery centres in the US, Turkey, and Crete have been a major inspiration for her as well as her experiences living in Nunavut, British Columbia and Newfoundland. Andrea now experiments from her home in Toronto.
