Opening Reception: Saturday April 28 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm
Sumi-e is traditional Japanese art of ink paintings which combines simplicity and spontaneity. The objective of Sumi-e is not to recreate the subject to look perfectly like the original, but to capture its essence — that is, to express its essence. This exhibition represents creative expressions pursued by Toronto artists, inspired by Nature.
