After School Pottery Classes
Tuesday & Wednesday, 4:00 am - 5:30 pm, age group: 6 to 12 years old
Have a creative freedom at the kids after school pottery and clay sculpture programs. Learn how to build and decorate a mug, bowl or something from your imagination. Your children will learn hand-building techniques, an introduction to the pottery wheel, and decoration with glazings.
Our price includes clay, glazing and all the firing fees. Drop in / try out session is at $30 + HST. Pottery class space is limited to 12 kids

Noel Yardley Bio:
Noel Yardley is an artist who lives and works in Toronto. He studied at the Nelson Mandela
Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, graduating in 1998. In his ceramic
work, Yardley explores ideas of movement using texture, colour and shape.
Noel Yardley has exhibited his work at the Design Indaba, Cape Town, 100% Design, London and Object en Maison, Paris. Noel worked at Mervyn Gers Ceramics as a supervisor assisting with the
production of ceramic products. He later worked for a retail chain called Woolworths as
ceramic artisan supplying them with unique vases and candle holders. In 2014 until 2017 he
worked as a production manager for a ceramic studio called Art in the Forest. Here he
supervised a team of carvers, decorators and throwers producing ceramics products for
restaurants, hotels and interior designers. He also taught hand building and wheelwork to
beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
Yardley has work in private collections in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Berlin, Milan, Norfolk –
Virginia and Mississauga. Since moving to Canada in 2018, Yardley has been a member of
the Mississauga potters Guild and has recently joined Luc Sculpture school as a ceramics
teacher.
