    Wednesday Evening Pottery

    Wednesdays, 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm

    Instructor: Noel Yardley
    Fee: $320 + HST includes everything you need!

    This class offers step-by-step guidance for beginner and intermediate students interested in learning pottery wheel techniques. You will learn how to throw on the pottery wheel and make functional pottery including cups, bowls, vases, and plates, etc.  A variety of decorative and  glazing options are available at this conveniently located Danforth, Toronto

    All materials and firing fees are included in the price.The class is limited to 7 participants (each person gets one wheel).

    • Fall Session II (2019) FULL $320 + HST

    • Winter Session (2020) FULL (6 weeks) $320 +HST

      Wednesday 6:30 - 9:30 pm, January 15th to February 19th

    • Winter Mini Session (2020) FULL FULL- (3 weeks) $180 + HST

    Noel Yardley Bio:

    Noel Yardley is an artist who lives and works in Toronto. He studied at the Nelson Mandela
    Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, graduating in 1998. In his ceramic
    work, Yardley explores ideas of movement using texture, colour and shape.

    Noel Yardley has exhibited his work at the Design Indaba, Cape Town, 100% Design, London and Object en Maison, Paris. Noel worked at Mervyn Gers Ceramics as a supervisor assisting with the
    production of ceramic products. He later worked for a retail chain called Woolworths as
    ceramic artisan supplying them with unique vases and candle holders. In 2014 until 2017 he
    worked as a production manager for a ceramic studio called Art in the Forest. Here he
    supervised a team of carvers, decorators and throwers producing ceramics products for
    restaurants, hotels and interior designers. He also taught hand building and wheelwork to
    beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
    Yardley has work in private collections in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Berlin, Milan, Norfolk –
    Virginia and Mississauga. Since moving to Canada in 2018, Yardley has been a member of
    the Mississauga potters Guild and has recently joined Luc Sculpture school as a ceramics
    teacher.
