Drawing Basics: Love of Drawing
When was the last time you forget everything in your head and just draw?
Whether you have had that moment or not in the past, experience that magical moment by you being in a creative space!
In this drawing class, you will be learning the basics of drawing using a variety of materials such as pencil, charcoal, and ink/pen and drawing on different subjects to expand your pantry. You will also learn how to use the colours to create some highlights and finishing touches on the drawings. Any skill levels are welcomed to join this course!

Adult Cartooning Classes (evening)
This cartooning class is an introduction to the fundamentals of character design. You will learn how to develop your character(s), make a model sheet out of them, and put them in the right place in terms of perspective and composition to create a single panel cartoon.

Sumi-E Japanese Ink Painting
Sumi-E is a traditional Japanese ink Painting technique, which is based on using an oriental brush and ink or subtle watercolours on rice paper. This painting class is open to students of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Materials for this course are brushes, sumi (ink stick), suzuri (stone for ink), shallow plates for mixing ink, matt and rice paper, and are available for purchase from instructor.

Drawing for Terrified Beginners
If you write or print you can draw and paint. Talent may speed up the process. However, drawing is a learned skill that anyone can achieve with direction and practice. Learning to draw and paint can be the gateway to self-expression and appreciation of the world at large. The course will cover basic skills such as sketching, perspective shading, color mixing, and composition. The focus is to build the perception and hand-eye coordination, A wide variety of media will be used such as graphite, conté, and pastel, watercolor and acrylic. Beginners as well as those with previous drawing experience are welcome It’s time to and rebuild your artistic skills and creative confidence!

Landscape Painting with Watercolour
In this workshop, you will learn the skills to create beautiful landscape paintings in watercolor. We will start to go through everything you need to know about painting watercolor landscapes.
The instructor will show you how to start painting the different elements of landscapes such as skies, rocks, and trees and give you many options for the effect you want to achieve.
You will learn some techniques like wet in wet and wet in dry and learn some techniques to capture the light and dark then choose colors to create an atmosphere and transfer an emotion in the finished landscape painting. This is a beginner-friendly online workshop, no experience is necessary.

Colour Theory for the Practicing Artist
In this interactive online workshops, students will explore how colour works in relation to its neighbours on the colour wheel. We will paint our way through true primary, secondary and tertiary colours along with homogeneous, analogous and complementary colours. You can join 2 parts or just one!

Portfolio Classes
An art portfolio is a studio instruction class designed to improve the student’s technical skills and artistic knowledge. The course will focus on the basics of drawing such as comparative sight training and incorporates the study of perspective, shading, composition and colour theory. Students will learn to render using a variety of media while developing their own personal style. Different approaches to art will be incorporated including representational and expressive art.
All students are welcome, whether a beginner pursuing art as a form of recreation, or as an outlet for self-expression, or for those looking to improve their body of work for art school submission.
Starts on: Friday. Apr. 24th and goes until June 26th
