The Workshop is for anyone who has ever wanted to get their hands dirty, experiment with various artistic mediums and express themselves artistically. Each week explores a different form of abstraction and leaves you with take home skills for future creating, as well as a completed piece of art! This workshop is great for beginners and will get your creative juices flowing. The goal is to set you on an artistic path where you will feel confident and excited to continue creating art!
Week 1: Colour – Exploration in colour mixing, various watercolour techniques and colour theory.
Week 2: Form – Dive into gestural, expressive drawing techniques, allowing you to represent the essence of an object.
Week 3: Pattern + Stencil – Explore the realm of stencil and printmaking, allowing for exciting pattern making.
Week 4: Composition – Build your skills and blend them together to create a beautiful, abstract expressionistic piece!
Each artist will receive a personal toolkit which will provide them the tools necessary for the workshop. All materials will be included.

Bio: Natalie Schiabel is a Toronto based artist specializing in abstract painting. She studied Architectural Design and Visual Arts at the University of Toronto and is currently completing a Masters of Landscape Architecture. She is highly inspired by the natural world and the forms and colours found in nature. She is passionate about guiding others to discover their own creative spirits and giving them the opportunity to express themselves.
